If you wish to settle in the UK permanently, you will need to prove that your English language ability is at CEFR* level B1.

The PTE Home B1 test is approved by UK Visas and Immigration government agency for both settlement (indefinite leave to remain) and citizenship applications.

How will I be tested?

To take PTE Home you will need to book a test and go to a secure Pearson test center. You will use a computer and headset to listen to, read, and answer questions. PTE Home B1 has 32 questions and lasts up to 22 minutes. There are 4 question types:
