Please note: Recruitment for this study has now closed and we are no longer accepting aplications for taking the Trial Test.

If you have booked your Trial Test, please take it as planned. If you cancel your test, you will not be able to reschedule it. 

Thank you for your interest in the PTE Trial – Spring 2026.

You must currently live in either Australia or India and must be able to access a PTE test center in Australia or India to take the Trial Test.

PTE teams are doing research to maintain the quality of our English tests. As part of this, we are inviting test takers in Australia and India to apply to take part in a research study running from April 2026 onwards. To say thank you, we will give you a gift voucher worth the equivalent of $100 USD in your local currency that you can use at various popular websites like Amazon, Google Play, Apple etc.

How does it work?

  1. Complete the sign-up form with your details.

  2. A member of the PTE team will review your answers to check if you are eligible.

  3. If you are eligible, we will send you instructions on when and how to book your PTE Trial Test (please ensure the data you enter exactly matches the information on your identification e.g. your full name, including middle name if applicable). The duration of the test is approximately 2 hours.

  4. When the project ends in June, we will send you a gift voucher worth $100 USD in your local currency to say thank you. The voucher will be sent to the email address you used to book the Trial Test.

  5. Please note you will not receive a score report for the PTE Trial Test, and it cannot be used for any purpose outside of this study.

Please note:

  • If the personal data you submit does not match your identification, you will be turned away at the test center. Your registration details must exactly match your identification.

  • You will need to complete the test at an official PTE test center. All centers in Australia and India will be offering this study.
