Pearson’s Language Testing division has today announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed with Kaplan International Colleges.
The MOU confirms a collaboration between two of the world’s leading education organizations to promote, deliver and prepare students for PTE Academic, Pearson’s secure English language test for international students.
In response to an increase in market demand for the test, one of the primary goals of this strategic partnership is to create PTE Academic test centers at Kaplan premises. The first of these test centers are planned in Nigeria, China and UAE. Once the preparation courses are finalized and the test centers are open, Pearson and Kaplan can be sure that international students can gain quick and efficient access to a UK Border Agency (UKBA) approved English language test.
Emma Stubbs, Senior Vice President of Language Testing, Pearson, said: “PTE Academic is a popular choice among students who need to take an English language test, particularly because of the availability of our test sessions and the speed at which we return test scores. Our partnership with Kaplan will provide a powerful preparation and testing solution for international students who need a secure English language test for their higher education study plans.”
Sue Edwards, Project Director, Kaplan International Colleges, said: “Kaplan is delighted to be collaborating with Pearson on this exciting project. The landscape for providers of secure English language testing has changed drastically in the last few months. Our partnership with Pearson will allow us to meet the new challenges and provide our students with a fast, accurate and secure assessment of their English language. And, working together will enhance our ability to create an expedient, flexible and customer-focused response, both here in the UK and in our key markets.”
