Format

• Computer-based test
• Measures all four language areas: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking

Structure   

• Authentic content – measures real world skills
• Trialling 20 innovative and integrated question types

Content

• Authentic academic test content from a variety of contexts and scenarios
• A test of international English

Duration

• The test will normally be completed in one 3-hour session

Delivery

• Delivered through our secure global Pearson VUE delivery channel network
• During the launch period, PTE Academic will be available in up to 22 territories and in a minimum of 150 locations, including China, India, the US, Japan, Korea, Australia, the UK, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Canada

Registration

• Test takers will be able to register online and schedule their test on a “choose and book basis”

Scores

• Test takers will access scores online, usually within 5 business days after the test
• Secure online results service
