This is the fifth book of a six-level, four-skill course empowering learners with the academic and workforce skills they need for further education and career training. Listening activities include comprehension questions with multiple choice answers, true and false questions, note completion and open-ended questions. Students practice listening for detailed understanding, identifying main ideas and supporting points, extracting specific information, and inferencing.
Components for students include a Student Book with Interactive Practice CD-ROM and Workbook with Audio CDs for use in class or for self-study with vocabulary life skills, listening, grammar, reading and writing.
Teaching support is provided in a Teacher Training DVD with in-class demo lessons, Teacher's Edition and Lesson Planner with teaching notes and cross-references to extra practice, Multi-level Communicative Activities Book, and Transparencies and Reproducible Vocabulary Cards. The Tests and Test Prep Book includes an ExamView®Assessment Suite, which allows teachers to print out prepared tests at three levels and to customize existing tests using the databank.
